The board adopted a resolution honoring Brian McGinnis for more than three decades of law-enforcement service and presented him with a certificate of congressional recognition. The resolution recounts McGinnis’s service as a military police officer, his promotion through local police ranks and time as a school resource officer and volunteer coach.
During the presentation McGinnis accepted the recognition and thanked the board. Cole from the congressional office also offered a certificate of recognition on behalf of Congresswoman McClain’s office. The board recessed briefly for photos and expressions of appreciation before continuing the meeting.
Why it matters: longstanding local public-safety service and the retirement of a local chief are matters of community recognition and historical record.
