Santa Rosa ISD board approves interim extension and superintendent employment contract after executive session

Kelly R. Ballin, Board President of the Santa Rosa Independent School District, called the special meeting to order at approximately 6:30 p.m. and later adjourned the public meeting to executive session under Texas Government Code provisions for consultation with legal counsel and personnel matters. "I, Kelly R. Ballin, Board President, am calling the meeting to order at approximately 6:30 p.m.," Ballin said at the start of the meeting.

The board reconvened to open session at 6:49 p.m. and approved two actions related to the superintendent's employment as presented by the district's legal counsel. First, the board approved extending Interim Superintendent Yolanda Chapa's employment contract through January 18, 2025. Second, the board approved the superintendent's employment contract as presented in executive session.
