The St. Helena Unified School District Governing Board voted to file Notices of Exemption for a Districtwide Solar Photovoltaics Project, with the board explicitly excluding EV charging stations at St. Helena Primary School, St. Helena Elementary School and Robert Louis Stevenson and including four chargers at the high school. The motion was made by Trustee Shawn Moura and seconded by Trustee Lisa Pelosi and carried unanimously.
Board minutes state that the Notices of Exemption were approved with those site-specific exclusions. The action opens the district to advance project-level design and permitting for rooftop and site-mounted solar across the district while treating EV-charging work at the named sites separately. The motion recorded a 5-0 vote by trustees Jeannie Kerr, Lisa Pelosi, Laura Symon, Shawn Moura and Jeanmarie Wolf.
