Rockdale ISD accepts resignations, announces retirements and approves contract renewals

Certified resignation reported: Ashley Willard, Assistant Principal (Elementary), effective at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year. Shannon Pourmanafzadeh (Elementary Principal) submitted a TRS retirement notice effective June 30, 2026.
The board accepted superintendent recommendations on term contract renewals, new probationary contracts and renewals for assistant superintendents, principals and assistant principals and authorized the Board President to execute employment contracts. The board also approved two‑year non‑Chapter 21 contracts for Rebecca King (Business Manager) and Ken Swiech (Director of Technology), and one‑year Chapter 21 renewals for Lindsey Lillard (Director of CTE) and Hunter Hamrick (Director of Athletics). Motions were recorded as carried by unanimous vote.
