Council orders immediate removal and referral on illegal pole signage

The council referred the matter to Inspectional Services and adopted a friendly amendment to direct Infrastructure and Special Services to remove illegally attached signs as crews encounter them. Gomes said the idea is to send a clear message that the city will not tolerate illegal postings and that the council would pursue the existing fines provided by ordinance.
The referral carried and an immediate-removal request was authorized; departmental officers will carry out removal as part of routine work and report back to the council if formal enforcement actions or citations are pursued.
