The board approved Katelyn Jarvis as a teacher at Lakeland Elementary (placed at BA Step 6) and Lucas DeForge as a teacher at Lakeland Elementary and Mill Creek Academy (BA Step 3). The board accepted the resignation of Ryan McChesney from Cherryland Middle School, effective July 23, 2025, and the resignation of Holly Schlicker as an office assistant at Mill Creek Academy, effective July 19, 2025. The motions were approved by recorded vote, Yea: 5, Nay: 0, Absent: 2.
Trustee Scott Moore moved and Treasurer Darryl Antcliff seconded a motion to hire Tim Spiers as Facilities/Grounds Assistant effective Aug. 4, 2025; the board carried the motion. The employment contract included a compensation rate of $18.10 per hour for the 2025–26 school year, a one-year term through June 30, 2026, and standard district benefit and leave provisions. The board also approved Bellany Miller as Lead GSRP Teacher (Lead Preschool Step 1) and Andrea Reffitt as a preschool paraprofessional (Step 3).
