During the audience-comment period, Joyce Welsh reported that curbs in front of her residence are crumbling and asked about landscape storm-debris removal; Chair Lonergan asked her to provide her address to District Engineer Kurt Heath for inspection.
Tim Sweeney asked whether the meetings could use microphones; Lonergan said she had submitted the request and asked that Mr. Gatz be copied on related emails. Resident Susan Napolitano questioned whether awarding contracts to the lowest bidder is best practice; District Manager Chuck Adams replied that he has worked with Premier Lakes and considers their service level superior to SOLitude. Janice Benedetti reported that a technician treated for mosquitoes the next day and identified significant issues at a particular pond; the board discussed whether owners who installed sprinklers in lakes should pay for future maintenance and electricity costs.
Resident Bruce Harris earlier asked who is in charge of trees on the golf course; Herb Hurley and Tim Gatz said they are responsible and Hurley offered to speak with Harris after the meeting.
