Board approves additional cleanup at parcel '33', notes wetland and mowing challenges

The Heritage Pines board voted Dec. 10 to approve a proposal for additional cleanup at parcel identified as '33' that includes perimeter cleanup, removal of dead trees and mulching. District Manager Chuck Adams presented the scope requested by Supervisor Carol Vaughan, and the board approved the work including the optional weed-whacker scope intended for a dry retention slope that is difficult to mow with equipment.
District Engineer Kurt Heath cautioned that there is a natural wetland in the center of the area and noted separate excavated retention on the western side; he said optional weed-whacker cleanup on the dry retention slope is recommended because it does not impede drainage. The minutes record the motion as passed unanimously and that the invoice will be paid upon completion.
