District Manager Chuck Adams presented Resolution 2025-02 on Dec. 10 to amend the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget to reflect recent large expenditures and accounting updates. Adams said columns were added to the budget presentation showing 'Actual' versus 'Adopted Budget' and 'Proposed Increase/(Decrease)' and that the "Operations and maintenance - Contingencies" line item was increased by $20,000 in case additional journal entries occur.
Chair Kathleen Lonergan noted the district will receive a refund of $1,298 from the Tax Collector's Office related to the difference between actual and amended budget figures. The resolution was adopted by unanimous motion. The minutes state the contingency funds will remain in surplus fund balance if unused, and that the budget amendment specifically reflects the major expenditure related to the new lawnmower.
