District facilities staff gave a detailed update on summer projects and compliance steps. On the district's relocation plans, the Director said the Early Learning Center will be moved into North Dover after graduation to have the program up and running for summer school: “we are in preparation for the day after graduation of starting these mass moves of the ELC into North Dover, having them up and running by July 2.”
Staff also said JVAC fabric replacement permits are under review with a projected completion around late October or early November; Beechwood roof replacement bids will open June 6 and work will proceed after school is out. On environmental compliance, staff reported progress on district-wide lead water testing and said, “I will be signing the statement of assurance that we're in compliance and sending that into the, Department of Education as well as the DEP at the end of this month.” The Director recommended replacing several rooftop hatches immediately for safety and estimated the replacements at about $4,000 apiece.
