Legislator Peter V. Tuohy moved to request a supplemental appropriation of $300,000 (bonding) for the Various Drainage Improvements Project (Project No. 42) as part of the 2026 Capital Plan; Virginia Scott seconded the motion and it passed.
DPW Deputy Commissioner Ryan McGuire referred to photos in the Clerk's file and said the request is an annual program to replace smaller culverts: two replacements are planned on County Route 13 in the Town of Chester, and one on County Route 84 in either the Town of Warwick or Tuxedo (he could not confirm which town for that site in the meeting). He explained the project is split between local bonding and $200,000 from the State CHIPs program and that the listed culvert at Old Forge Road will be replaced; the actions are Type II under SEQRA.
