Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District lists events, pauses Medea Creek work for nesting season

A Budget Priorities meeting is scheduled for May 20 to review funding and transparency matters.
Lundstrom said vegetation clearing at Medea Creek is underway but has been paused due to nesting birds and is expected to resume after nesting season (work window described as between August and February). He also listed upcoming community events including an outdoor movie night on June 19 and a Music in the Park concert on July 11.
Councilmembers thanked Lundstrom for his work and raised concerns about e-bike activity and environmental impacts; the district said it is coordinating timing for vegetation work with nesting season and regulatory concerns.
