Students honored and student leaders report district activities at board meeting

Student representatives from the district’s three high schools delivered monthly reports and the board presented a slate of student awards.
Ryan Macom, the East student representative, highlighted spirit week activities, the kindness initiative and athletic qualifications, saying, "This month's habit is habit 6, synergize," and noting student fundraising and community service. North’s representative, Gabriela Costaba, promoted a clothing drive through Feb. 21 and noted students qualifying for state and regional competitions; she also mentioned a senior selected for the Close-Up Washington program. Sophia Sitta, South’s representative, summarized South’s competitions and senior recognitions.
Principals and program leaders presented awards for orchestra and athletics. Erin Anders, the building principal, introduced award recipients, and Kate Roselli, identified as the orchestra director, recognized student musicians who earned regional honors. The board thanked students, coaches and staff for their achievements and encouraged community attendance at upcoming school events.
