Strasburg 31J shares preliminary School Performance Framework results; district rated 'Improvement'

Superintendent Kelle Bongard told the board the state had released School Performance Framework results and staff reviewed preliminary ratings for the district and individual schools.
"The high school and elementary school have received a 'Performance' rating, the highest rating. The middle school has improved to an 'Improvement' rating from a previous 'Priority Improvement' status," Bongard said during the superintendent's report. Districtwide, staff described the overall rating as 'Improvement' and discussed next steps tied to Unified Improvement Plans (UIPs) for each school. The board and administration discussed chronic absenteeism figures and plans to expand successful middle-school interventions across the district.
Board members directed staff to bring school-specific UIPs and measurable milestones to the October meeting and to continue monitoring attendance and targeted interventions.
