Curriculum spending maintained as district plans administrative consolidations

At the same time, administration said the proposed budget would abolish an assistant superintendent position and several director-level roles through consolidation and attrition to contain costs. "We will be abolishing an assistant superintendent position in this budget," Mr. Sittick said, and added that the district has reduced more than 200 staff over the last seven years and continues to seek consolidations that minimize impacts on direct student services.
Curriculum leaders emphasized the centrality of staff to instruction and said they will prioritize maintaining instructional subscriptions and supports while seeking efficiencies in staffing where possible.
