The Redwater ISD board convened a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, 2025, in the administration building board room. President Clint Duncan called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum of five members present; two trustees were absent.
The board entered executive session at 5:31 p.m. and reconvened in open session at 5:43 p.m. The executive session cited Texas Government Code Section 551.072 (real property), Section 551.074 (personnel matters), and Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney) as the statutory bases for closed deliberations on a potential real estate purchase and personnel matters.
Following the executive session, board member Jerry McCarty II moved to authorize the superintendent to purchase the property at 110 Redwater Blvd in Texarkana and to approve a resolution delegating contracting authority to the superintendent and/or her designee. The motion was seconded by Bryan Strand and passed 5-0. After business concluded, Jerry McCarty II moved to adjourn and the board adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
