The Sperry Board of Trustees voted June 25, 2026, to approve an updated Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual for the Town of Sperry and the Sperry Utility Services Authority. "MOTION WAS MADE BY ROBERT MORTON AND SECOND BY PATRICK MCCOTTER TO APPROVE THE PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL OF THE TOWN OF SPERRY AND SPERRY UTILITY SERVICES AUTHORITY, WITH AN UPDATED LONGEVITY POLICY AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 2026," the minutes state.
Mayor Robert Morton moved the measure and Trustee Patrick McCotter seconded. The recorded roll call on the motion was yes: Gary Callahan, Patrick McCotter and Robert Morton; no: none. Trustees David Cassidy and Vice Mayor Melody Anderson were listed as absent from the June 25 special meeting. The approved change centers on the municipality’s longevity policy; the minutes record the effective date for that policy as Aug. 1, 2026. The minutes for the meeting were later approved by the Board on July 9, 2026.
The vote affects personnel covered by the town and the utility authority; the minutes do not list other changes to the manual or provide a line-item breakdown of longevity pay amounts.
