Airport Manager Monte Belgarde reported to the board that "usage at the airport is way down," and suggested the local economy could be a contributing factor. Belgarde confirmed the facility currently lacks a backup generator when asked about recent outages. "No, we do not have a generator," he said, prompting board members to note the vulnerability during multi-hour power outages earlier in the month. Belgarde also raised routine maintenance items, including the need to review fixed-distance runway markers and the small tractor mower used for airfield upkeep.
