Rachel Orr moved and the committee recommended $49,276.41 for Dukes County public-safety communications and approved multiple Dukes County and regional social-service nonprofit allocations, including Dukes County Health and Human Services ($141,185), Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living ($128,497), and others. Motions passed unanimously, 9–0.
Members noted that the Town’s share of county-assessed items is calculated by a 50% population / 50% equalized-value formula, and that the Tisbury share for the county assessments was cited as 13.79%. The committee postponed a Dukes County Supplemental Income placeholder for later consideration as the county budget process includes returning annual residuals and other adjustments.
