The Silsbee Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a multi-item consent agenda at its Sept. 9 meeting. Trustee Dana Hancock moved to approve consent agenda items A–H and the motion was seconded by Trustee Jonta Miller; the motion passed unanimously with seven trustees voting yes.
Items recorded on the consent agenda included minutes, financial reports and bills, tax reports, utility usage graphs, a budget amendment, the donation from the Silsbee Education Foundation, an anonymous donation to Silsbee Elementary for a school greenhouse, and open requests for proposal (instructional material, maintenance supplies, and bus parts). The minutes also list purchase orders for a district Chromebook refresh to DELCOM; a Laura Reeves camera project to Micro Integration; a new police vehicle from Silsbee Ford; and Motorola Solutions for police vehicle radios. Specific dollar amounts were not listed in the meeting minutes.
