Parent urges longer passing time and better phone-pouch access at Joy Shaw Middle School

"The students are having to go across the campus from CTE to the 6th grade center several times a day ... They're having to run," she said, asking the board to consider policies that give Joy Shaw students more time to get to class.
Kelso also praised phone pouch storage in principle but asked the district to increase access to unlocking stations so students do not miss buses while waiting in line to retrieve devices. The chair thanked Kelso for speaking and the board indicated administration would follow up on logistics and potential operational fixes.
