Construction nears completion at new Red Oak ISD campus, district reports

Brent Stanford, the district's construction presenter, told the Red Oak ISD Board that as of Aug. 22 the new campus was about 83% complete. "As of August 22, overall completion's 83%," he said, and he pointed to finished brick and stone veneer, installed windows and completed athletic fields.
Stanford walked trustees through labeled site photos of academic wings (D, E, F and G), the cafeteria and fine-arts areas and said the gym floors and bleachers are in place. He noted remaining work includes some interior flooring in hallways and final millwork and described progress on sidewalks, site paving and fencing. "The gym floor is down, and it's really looking good on on both gyms," he said.
Trustees asked follow-up questions about landscaping and hardscaping materials; Stanford said plantings and irrigation work have begun and that some areas will use crushed granite. The board discussed scheduling and confirmed that athletic venues are on track for use later this school year.
