Auditors say ERP review focuses on planning, conversion and cutover, not procurement

During questions about scope, the auditor clarified that the performance audit is designed to evaluate whether best practices were followed in project conception, planning, system conversion and the planned cutover strategy. Tim Ash said the review looks back to check whether the design and governance arrangements in place were likely to produce a successful implementation.
Asked whether the audit would examine vendor selection or procurement discussions, Ash said, "It's not going back to some of the discussions about procurement," adding the emphasis is on whether the right planning, training and integration practices were in place from the outset.
