River Ridge terminates Laz's Lawn, hires GulfScapes at $58,500 amid budget gap

The board discussed options to cover the difference — including using payments withheld from Laz's Lawn and unassigned funds — and authorized management to terminate the Laz’s Lawn agreement and proceed with GulfScapes.
The board did not identify an alternative contractor that would execute the CDD contract terms, saying GreenScapes had refused to execute the district's contract. Staff will implement the change and report on transition details and cost offsets to the board.
