L. Pastick, a Mazon agency official, told the Personnel Committee he has been working on records disposal, updates to the policy and employee manual, and traffic‑management issues.
Pastick said the village has ordered the body cameras required under recent rules and is pursuing grant support for both body and in‑car cameras. He told the committee that "the county will be adding 12 new cameras this year," and that Mazon does not currently have an in‑car camera; installing that equipment would keep Mazon Police in compliance with newly passed laws. He also reported coordinating with Scott Benson and Crime Stoppers on Flock camera planning. Pastick added that department tasers are aging and likely will need replacement within the next year.
