County approves hires, accepts resignations and records incoming retirements

The board moved several personnel actions at the Dec. 17 meeting. Kevin Stevens moved and Tom Appel seconded a motion (unanimous) to advance Anthony Fauglid, a jail/dispatcher, to permanent full-time status effective Jan. 3, 2025. The board also hired Daniel Green as an Engineering Aide at $26.78 per hour, effective Jan. 13, 2025, and Shannon Paplow as a part-time Landfill Scale Operator at $21.58 per hour, effective Dec. 23, 2024; both hires were contingent on completion of hiring requirements.
Separately, the board accepted the resignation of Assistant County Attorney Adam Maloney effective Dec. 10, 2024, with appropriate payout of benefits. The board also accepted the retirement resignation of Kathleen Kretsch as County Recorder, effective Feb. 28, 2025, and authorized posting internally and advertising for the Deputy Recorder position to fill the upcoming vacancy.
