County schedules public hearing on tax abatement for proposed single-family home

The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Nov. 19, 2024, to call a public hearing on a tax-abatement application for a proposed single-family home submitted under the Home Initiative program. Tiffany Lamb, Windom EDA Director, presented the application from Thomas Meyeraan and asked the board to set a public hearing; the board approved Resolution 24-11-19 (motion by Kevin Stevens, second by Tom Appel).
Lamb told the board she had reviewed the application and recommended the hearing so the public could comment on the proposed abatement. The resolution calling for the public hearing is on file in the County Coordinator’s office, and the board recorded the approval as a unanimous roll-call vote. The County Coordinator will schedule and publicize the hearing per standard procedure.
