The Scotland County Board of Health approved an updated departmental "policy on policies" that moves the minimum review cycle from annually to biannually and allows more frequent updates when required by state regulations or agreement addendums.
"We have also included a statement in there that they can be reviewed and updated more often as required by, state regulations, agreement addendums, etcetera," Miss Holland said while presenting the packet of policy updates. The policy requires staff to post updated policies in NEOGOV so employees can review and acknowledge them; policies will also be stored on a shared drive and kept as a hard copy accessible to staff.
Board members moved and seconded approval of the three policies presented, including this policy on policies; the motion passed on a voice vote. The changes aim to standardize policy development, maintenance and operational procedures across Health and Human Services.
