County staff described two linked actions to restore detoxification services in North Central New Mexico. Chris Madrid said the county has worked with Rio Grande ATP to reestablish detox services, explained that State Board of Finance approval is needed for leases over specified thresholds and that an appraisal within one year was obtained; the commission authorized submission of the lease package to the State Board of Finance via Resolution 2025‑42.
Separately, the commission approved Contract TCC2024‑41 to fund Rio Grande ATP to provide behavioral health, detoxification and residential treatment services for eligible Taos County residents. County staff noted an FY allocation of $350,000 for the year to support indigent services and preserve access to detox services as the provider resumes operations.
