Facilities report: tree removal, window delays, lead testing and roofing projects underway

Facilities staff briefed the board on multiple capital and maintenance items across the district: tree removal at South Toms River Elementary because of disease, ongoing lead water testing with three remaining sites to be retested before state submission, and a roofing and solar warranty review for phase 2 solar roofs. On Site 196 (Washington Street) staff said the window replacement grant project is complete except for two windows the contractor cannot locate; the contractor reports the windows were shipped but not on site and may need refabrication, a process staff estimated could add roughly six weeks to completion. "We really unfortunately, we don't have a time frame for that because the fact that the windows were just discovered to not be on-site was just found about a month ago... They may have to be refabricated. That's probably a 6 week turnaround easily," Speaker 12 said.
