Councilmember Jeff Grenell told the council he had not completed required ethics training for two years, acknowledged that his reasons did not excuse the lapse, and said he intends to complete additional ethics training going forward. The council directed administration to continue sending reminders about training opportunities, add ethics training reminders to council agendas before due dates, and maintain certification records on the village website. Newly elected officials must complete required training within the designated timeframe after taking office.
