Village Attorney Pamala Ryan explained the village’s approach to handling planner review costs: developers must pay a $1,300 consultant fee in addition to the application fee; developers pay the village during application, and the village then pays the planner for review work. Council noted that additional consultant expenses would be tied to new development applications or projects and that consultants would review site plans for compliance with village and Broward County codes.
Council members also noted that if another developer submits an application, additional consultant review may be required and that the developer has been provided the land development application package but had not submitted completed materials at the time of the meeting.
