The borough has arranged a public meeting with Braen Stone to address multiple complaints from residents about quarry operations, including truck traffic, air blasts and ground vibration. Councilwoman Cowdrick said company representatives "brought up everyone's concerns" and that Braen Stone will host stations with experts at the fire house on Sept. 30, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Residents raised several grievances during public comment. Cristan Zamphir told the Council the "Quarry doesn’t respect us" and urged action on truck routes and noise mitigation. Mayor Hutnick and Councilwoman Cowdrick said the meeting will be open to the public and the company indicated a willingness to help explore solutions, including explaining air blasts and vibration measurements and discussing truck mitigation.
