Council approves 100% disabled-veteran property tax exemption and $943.63 refund to local veteran

The Borough of Ogdensburg adopted Resolution 66-2025 on July 14, 2025, recognizing that the Veterans Administration assigned a 100% disabled veteran rating to Danny Rivera effective June 3, 2025. The council authorized the tax collector to adjust records and refund $943.63 for the June portion of the second quarter of 2025.
The resolution instructs that certified copies be forwarded to the Tax Collector, the Chief Financial Officer and township auditors for their records. The motion to approve the consent agenda (which included the resolution) carried on a roll-call vote with Yeas from Cowdrick, Gandarinho, Lame and Ruitenberg; Ciasullo and DeMeo were recorded as absent at the time of the consent vote.
The refund payment to Danny Rivera is recorded on the voucher list for the meeting.
