Trustee Vick told the board that during the village Easter Egg Hunt his son was cut and staff could not find a usable first‑aid kit. He urged the village to purchase a new kit and to make an AED accessible in the hall rather than relying on the unit kept in the police department.
Deputy Clerk Prehn said, "We do have one it’s in the Police Department," and agreed to talk with Chief Beatty about purchasing another unit to place inside the hall and make its location known. Trustee Vick emphasized response time, saying, "Having one locked up is not going to help anybody when minutes count."
