The Village of McCullom Lake Board discussed pursuing a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) with McHenry County to repave Spring Road in two sections: McCullom Lake Road to Flanders, and Orchard to Flanders. Trustee Vick said he and a representative from HR Green met county officials and that the project may be done in halves if funding is only partially available.
Deputy Clerk Prehn said crews "are going to start the surveying of Orchard in the next week or so." Trustee Vick described plans to add curb and gutter to fix a low‑spot drainage problem near the bottom of the hill where runoff currently collects and feeds a single storm sewer. Board members said they will reapply for the grant if funding is not secured this year and try to stage the work if necessary.
