NJDEP details sidewalk, floodwall and transition work in Jersey City

"Along 18th Street, the project team will continue installing concrete sidewalks and curbs," the agency official said. The presentation also said that in Marion Boulevard, beneath the overhead rail lines, the team will install a gate, restore the eastern sidewalk and continue floodwall construction.
At two private properties the contractor will complete topping slabs, rails and walls and perform transition work to connect project elements with surrounding infrastructure, the agency said. NJDEP emphasized that some locations may require temporary pauses or shifts in sequencing if unexpected conditions arise.
Local businesses and pedestrians were told access will be maintained where possible and that no parking will be permitted within active work areas.
