EPA awarded more than $18 million for multipurpose brownfields grants; new targeted assessment and job‑training funds announced

Erickson also said the FY27 solicitation will likely move multipurpose funding toward revolving loan funds (RLF) and that RLF and cleanup grants will require a 20% cost share.
Erickson announced $26,000,000 in new funding for Targeted Brownfields Assessments expected to be available in September and encouraged applicants to reach out to named contacts for questions. He also highlighted a job training grant competition (up to $300,000 per award) closing Sept. 23 intended to fund training for residents affected by brownfields contamination.
