Chip Carmichael (speaker 8), representing the property owner, said the prospective tenant runs a plastic-extrusion line that "makes dog bags" and described the operation as self-contained with minimal truck activity and no water effluent or stacks. "There's no fumes," he said, describing the equipment as "totally self contained." Staff and commissioners discussed standard buffering and building-code requirements; no organized opposition spoke.
The commission's vote to approve was recorded by voice and the item will be forwarded to the governing authority as the planning commission's recommendation.
