Wellston board returns from executive session and approves three staff hires

The Wellston Board of Education convened an executive session on personnel at 6:54 p.m. Aug. 6 pursuant to 25 O.S. §307(B)(1). After returning to open session at 7:26 p.m., the board approved three personnel hires: Rachelle Withrow as an elementary paraprofessional, Angela Bonin as a child nutrition support staff member, and Bridgette Townsend as an adjunct elementary education teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. Each motion carried unanimously.
Minutes record the following votes and makers: the motion to hire Rachelle Withrow was made by Brock Terrell and seconded by Christa Coover; the motion to hire Angela Bonin was made by Brock Terrell and seconded by Bradley Pittman; and the motion to hire Bridgette Townsend (recorded in earlier meeting minutes appended in the packet) was made by Brock Terrell and seconded by Tyler Barnes. The board’s executive-session compliance announcement was read by Brock Terrell upon return to open session.
