The Wellston Board of Education took two related bond actions across its April 10 special meeting and May 8 regular meeting: in April the board approved a resolution setting maturities and scheduling the sale of $750,000 in General Obligation Combined Purpose Bonds; in May the board discussed preparing bond projects for bid.
On April 10 the board approved a resolution “determining the maturities of, and setting a date, time and place for the sale of the $750,000 General Obligation Combined Purpose Bonds of the School District.” The motion carried during the special meeting (record shows a 3–0 vote with two members absent). At the May 8 meeting the board discussed bond projects and accepting bids for upcoming bond-funded work as staff begin procurement efforts.
Board documents and meeting comments indicate the bond election passed earlier (April 1) and district staff are starting the paperwork and planning to accept bids — anticipated in June — for the projects funded by the approved bonds.
