The Wellston Board of Education on Sept. 18 approved the district's General Fund budget requests for extracurricular activities, including Track, Girls Basketball and HS Varsity Cheer, by a motion carried 4-0 with one member absent. The motion to approve the budgets in mass was made by Board member Bradley Pittman and seconded by Board member Christa Coover.
Budget worksheets attached to the meeting record list specific line items and dollar amounts: Track equipment entries include starting blocks, HS uniforms and a 10x20 customized canopy tent with an aggregate equipment figure shown in one table as $6,700; girls basketball entries list Hudl at $825 and Hudl Assist at $900 and a TOTAL COST OF EQUIPMENT of $6,314.92; the HS varsity cheer request lists uniforms and extra pieces with a TOTAL COST OF EQUIPMENT of $1,620.81 and an anticipated enrollment of 13.
