The Wellston Board of Education on April 10 approved a resolution that sets maturities and establishes a date, time and place for the sale of $750,000 in General Obligation Combined Purpose Bonds, a step officials said follows voter approval of bonds in the April 1 election.
The motion is recorded in the minutes as: "Motion to approve a resolution determining the maturities of, and setting a date, time and place for the sale of the $750,000 General Obligation Combined Purpose Bonds of the School District." The motion, made by Crystal Hull and seconded by Christa Coover, carried with three votes in favor and two absences.
Superintendent Dwayne Danker told the board the district is starting the paperwork process after the bond election and expects to accept bids for projects in June. The approved resolution authorizes the district to proceed with the sale timetable; specific sale dates and final bond terms will be set consistent with the resolution and legal requirements.
