Multiple parents and longtime community members told the Whitebead board they value the district's small-school K-8 identity and asked if annexation could be limited to exclude Paoli High School. Amanda Satterfield asked directly if "we could merge just the K-8 and not the high school," saying she believes Whitebead is special because it is a K-8.
Board staff answered that annexation would be of the district rather than selective grades: "we would be annexing the district, not certain grades," Mr. Midkiff said. Several commenters reiterated concerns about losing the small-school atmosphere and requested questions about parental intent be included on future surveys.
