Town staff also told council that Cigna data shows medical and prescription trends about 3.7% better than last year and that, overall, "we are about 14% better than the rest of their clients out there," a presentation attendee said, which staff cited as evidence of program impact.
The proclamation and presentations included details about ECHO's staffing—a wellness coordinator, wellness specialist and a therapist—and noted the program's national recognition, including a bronze award from the Wellness Council of America and a Cigna healthy workforce gold designation. The mayor and council encouraged staff and residents to observe wellness activities in August and highlighted upcoming events tied to the program.
