Council OKs liquor license and manager application for new Outcast Bar & Nightclub

Council members approved a Class C liquor license and the related manager application July 27 for Silverado Sales Inc., doing business as Outcast Bar & Nightclub at 1332 P Street, Suite 1, and for manager Nicholas (Nick) Rowan. Rowan said his existing Misfits venue in the Haymarket has become an entertainment destination and the new site will feature activities such as bowling, augmented‑reality darts and pool tables. "We're not just a bar that you come and drink at. We're a bar that you come and have fun," Rowan said.
Council asked about operations and safety; Rowan described staff training and ServSafe requirements and said his security staff receive additional training. No members of the public opposed the applications and the licenses were approved by unanimous roll call, recorded as motion carried 7–0.
