The Lincoln City Council unanimously approved two mayoral appointments on its consent agenda July 27. Maggie Stuckey Ross of Parks and Recreation introduced Julie Heinrich, who told the council she has lived in Lincoln for 39 years and is particularly focused on pool and parks planning. "I've lived in Lincoln for the last 39 years... I'm also very passionate about our pools," Heinrich said during her brief remarks.
Council members also approved the appointment of Lily Ealy to the City Personnel Board for a five‑year term. Ealy said she previously worked with the city attorney’s office and currently serves as legal counsel at Bryan with an emphasis on employment law and litigation. The motions to approve both appointments were carried by roll call vote, each recorded as 7–0.
