Committee members said cremation burials are becoming more common and discussed options to reduce cost, including designating a section where multiple urns may be interred. The Chair said the town already allows some double interments and suggested the committee could set rules for a designated cremation section with explicit allowances for the number of urns per plot.
"I think cremations is gonna become more and more possible," the Chair said. Members suggested a designated area with limits (for example, set allowances of 1–10 urns in a section), and agreed that any implementation would require staff guidance and a clear paperwork process. No formal policy change was adopted at the meeting.
