Superintendent Jeff Thompson briefed the Sharon‑Mutual Board on his recent attendance at the OSSBA conference and provided a detailed update on district vehicle deliveries. Thompson said he and Board Member Jeremy Baggett attended the conference and noted Governor Stitt spoke there. "He stated it was good, and this year Governor Stitt was present and spoke about talking nice to each other, which is something Mr. Thompson has stressed alot on," the record shows. Baggett added he had valued the motivational sessions and networking.
Thompson also described transportation updates: a Maverick vehicle is built but has no delivery date; three route buses are in production (one was returned because of a door issue); a 29-passenger bus is expected sometime in October; and the activity bus is hoped to arrive by October. He said he expects to post surplus vehicles on Purple Wave next week.
