Principals report enrollment, upcoming events and new cell-phone policy

School leaders told the board on Jan. 15 that enrollment and extracurricular schedules are on track and that parents should note forthcoming events. Jeff Thompson reported elementary enrollment was 119 and listed Student of the Month honorees from PreK through 6th grade; he said PTO is purchasing classroom supplies and that teacher Amazon pages remain open throughout the year.
High School Principal Brad Shryock reported high school enrollment of 87 and outlined upcoming activities: the junior-high tournament, a Vo-Tech tour for sophomores, FFA Leadership Conference in Woodward, FAFSA parent night on Jan. 22 with Mrs. Hopper, an OSUIT meeting for seniors on Jan. 28, and the FCCLA Star Event on Jan. 29. Shryock said the district's Cell Phone Policy "was implemented January 7th and is going great."
